Privacy Policy

App: NetSleuth  ·  Developer: Joe Wilson  ·  Last updated: March 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how NetSleuth handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

NetSleuth does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app does not require an account, and no user data is sent to our servers — because we don't have any.

Network Requests

NetSleuth performs network diagnostic functions (ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, port checking, WHOIS, SSL inspection, and IP geolocation) entirely on your device and directly to the targets you specify. Geolocation lookups are sent to the third-party API ipwho.is solely to return results to you. No data from these queries is stored or associated with your identity.

Third-Party Services

The IP geolocation feature uses ipwho.is, a public API. When you perform an IP lookup, the queried IP address is sent to this service. Please review their privacy policy for details on how they handle requests.

Analytics & Tracking

NetSleuth contains no analytics, no crash reporting SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Children's Privacy

NetSleuth does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
